As long as I can remember, I've dreamed of being a mom and playing a huge role in helping my children grow and develop. My passion has always been to create a safe and happy environment for children. One where they thrive through a healthy mix of structure and personal freedom to be themselves, all while growing a deep sense of wisdom and a Christ-like identity. My journey started as a transitional kindergarten teacher, walking beside parents to encourage and support their children's success. Now, as a certified parent coach and the children's ministry director at our local church, I’m bringing together my personal experiences as a mom and my professional background in education to help parents navigate challenging behaviors that are sure to pop up in childhood. I know firsthand that raising children can feel overwhelming, and I am passionate about offering practical and relatable guidance that is focused on your child's growing brain to make this journey a little easier. That's why I created my parent coaching company, Raising Sweet Babiees, to give parents practical insights, support, encouragement, and tools to have a healthy and joyful family
I always knew I wanted to be a mother, but the thought of carrying a baby inside of me felt so foreign to me and, quite frankly, scared me. In 2019, we got pregnant with our first son. When I saw the positive lines on that pregnancy stick, I was terrified. It sent me into a panic attack. I was SO excited to become a mom, but my world was about to change forever, and I had absolutely no idea how. Not to mention that baby had to come out of my body somehow...Despite my fears, in November of 2019, we welcomed our first son into the world. He was perfect.
We knew we wanted our kids to be close in age, so in December of 2020, we decided to start trying for another baby. Again, I was met with a panic attack while trying to conceive. The thought of being pregnant again was almost too much to handle. But I did. In September of 2021, we welcomed our second baby boy into the world.
With two boys, we had to try one more time for a girl! And this time I wasn’t going to let fear stop me or steal my joy. We tried in February of 2023, and were met with a false positive test, a hospital bill, and really heavy hearts. A few months later, my husband and I tried again, and we got a positive test. In late December of 2023, we welcomed our third baby boy into the world.
As I was nursing our new baby to sleep in February of 2024, a task was placed in my heart. A task to create a program that supports new mothers as they venture into their own motherhood journey. Despite being absolutely terrified of pregnancy, I had a wonderful support system around me. That is what I want to be for you. A support system that is there for you - guiding, encouraging, and loving you through your parenting journey!
In November of 2024, the opportunity to become a certified parent coach found me, which was great timing because we were hitting a wall in our own parenting journey (I had even reached out to Supernanny for advice!) Our oldest son was extremely difficult to parent…if he didn’t get his way, he would have a major meltdown. I’m talking about kicking, screaming, growling, and hitting. We felt like we were slowly losing our son, who was only five! Praise God, we were led to Connected Families, the parenting framework that changed our lives. It has given us the tools to navigate the big feelings, the bedtime struggles, and sibling fighting. It has also given us a calmer, joy-filled home where I no longer feel anxious during what could be a difficult parenting moment.
I truly believe that God uses our struggles as a way for us to help others. If you are a first-time mom or in the thick of parenting, I would love to encourage you, lift you up, and help you to become the best version of yourself. I am here for you!
